Jacobs, et al, hosted the first iteration of the Instructional Design for Trainers and Educators course.
This course is based on the ID for Law Enforcement Instructors course and was the first version of either delivered virtually. This was an experiment for adapting an in-person class for virtual, online delivery. The challenge was to redesign the delivery in such a way that uses the advantages of in-person and virtual tools and capabilities. Also, it was the first use of Moodle as a delivery platform.
The course used technologies such as Zoom, Loom, Calendly, and Moodle, as well as management of the server-side setup and management of Moodle. It required creative use of the different tactics of delivering information and providing people time and one-on-one consulting while they worked on their projects.
